Heat transfer vinyl in Luxembourg
Heat transfer vinyl is the ideal decoration for names, numbers and simple logos: quick, affordable and possible from a single item.
Sports shirts, t-shirts, hoodies, club kits… We apply your designs in flex, flock or glitter vinyl in our workshop in Holzem. Ideal for personalising each item with its owner's name.

What is heat transfer vinyl?
Heat transfer vinyl (often called HTV or flex) is a thin heat-activated film. Your design is cut out of the vinyl in the chosen colour, the excess is removed by hand (weeding), then the design is applied to the fabric with a heat press: the vinyl's adhesive bonds with the fibre.
Each design is a single colour, with a sharp finish and bold colours, perfect for letters, numbers and clean logos.
Vinyl printing for clubs, teams, businesses and individuals
It is the go-to technique for sports shirt names and numbers: a different name and number on every item, with no extra set-up cost. It is also ideal for custom t-shirts for hen parties, celebrations or associations, and for workwear with a simple logo.
Flex, flock or glitter vinyl: which one to choose?
Heat transfer vinyl comes in three finishes, which change the look and feel of your design:
| Finish | Look | Colours | Ideal for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flex vinyl | Smooth, slightly glossy, very flexible | Around 20, including fluorescents | Sports shirt names and numbers, simple logos |
| Flock vinyl | Soft to the touch, slight relief, matt look | White, black, yellow, red, green | Hoodies, t-shirts and caps with a retro style |
| Glitter vinyl | Sparkling, festive effect | White, black, red, gold, silver | Event t-shirts, fashion, kids |
Did you know? Each vinyl design is one colour, but several elements in different colours can be combined: for example a white name and a red number.

Heat transfer vinyl prices: what affects the cost
Vinyl is one of the most affordable techniques, especially for small quantities. These are the factors that count:
| Factor | Effect on price |
|---|---|
| Design size | The larger the design, the more vinyl and cutting it takes. |
| Number of colours | Each colour is a separate layer, cut and applied individually. |
| Finish | Flock and glitter cost slightly more than classic flex. |
| Number of positions | Name, back number, front number, logo: each position counts. |
| Chosen item | The price of the garment or accessory is added to the decoration. |
Tip: for a very detailed or multicolour logo, a DTF transfer is better suited. For a large identical run, consider screen printing.
Recommended vinyl sizes and positions
Here are the most common sizes, especially for sports shirts. We adapt them to your design and the chosen item.

Sports shirt names and numbers
Name on the back, front and back numbers, club logo and sponsors: heat transfer vinyl lets you personalise every shirt differently, even a single replacement shirt. Fonts and colours stay identical across the team for a professional look.
Simply send us the list of players with their name, number and size.
Which file to send for heat transfer vinyl?
For a logo, a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or vector PDF) is ideal, as the vinyl is cut along the outlines. Otherwise, a high-resolution PNG: we redraw your logo if needed. For names and numbers, a simple list is enough.
Everything about heat transfer vinyl
What is heat transfer vinyl?
Heat transfer vinyl is a heat-activated film: the design is cut out of the vinyl, then applied to the fabric with a heat press. It is ideal for letters, numbers and simple one-colour logos.
What is the difference between flex, flock and glitter vinyl?
Flex is smooth and slightly glossy, flock is soft and matt with a slight relief, and glitter gives a sparkling effect. All three are applied the same way, only the look changes.
Can you print sports shirts with names and numbers?
Yes, it is what vinyl does best. Each shirt can have its own name and number. Send us the list of players with their sizes.
How much does heat transfer vinyl printing cost?
The price depends on the design size, the number of colours, the finish and the number of positions. It is one of the most affordable techniques for small quantities. Ask us for a quote: it is tailored to your project.
Can vinyl designs have several colours?
Each design is one colour, but several elements in different colours can be combined, such as a white name and a red number. For a detailed multicolour logo, a DTF transfer is better suited.
Which fabrics can heat transfer vinyl be applied to?
Most fabrics: cotton, polyester and blends, light or dark. It is suitable for sports shirts, t-shirts, hoodies, workwear, bags and caps.
Is heat transfer vinyl washable?
Yes, if cared for properly. Wash inside out at 30 °C, avoid the tumble dryer and never iron directly on the vinyl. It is less durable than screen printing or embroidery in the long run.
Which file should I send for heat transfer vinyl?
A vector file (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) is ideal for a logo. A high-resolution PNG can also work. For names and numbers, a list is enough.
How long does a vinyl order take?
Allow 5 to 10 working days after approval of your proof, depending on the quantity. For a match, tournament or event, please mention the date in your quote request.
