DTF printing in Luxembourg
DTF transfers are the multicolour decoration that goes anywhere: photos and gradients on light or dark fabrics, cotton and polyester alike.
T-shirts, hoodies, polo shirts, jackets, workwear… We prepare your design and apply your DTF transfers in our workshop in Holzem. Ideal for a very colourful design, a small run or a fabric that is hard to print.

What is DTF printing?
DTF stands for Direct to Film. Your design is first printed in colour on a special film, with a white layer and an adhesive powder. This transfer is then applied to the fabric with a heat press.
The result: vivid colours and a sharp design, on almost any material and any fabric colour, with no colour limits.
DTF transfers for businesses, clubs and associations
DTF is the ideal solution for a multicolour logo on dark clothing, jackets or technical polyester garments, where direct printing is not suitable. It is also perfect for small runs, club kits and custom clothing in your brand colours.
DTF transfers on t-shirts, hoodies, polo shirts and jackets
DTF transfers can be applied to cotton, polyester and blends, light or dark. These are the items we customise most often:
Did you know? A DTF transfer has its own white layer: your colours stay as bright on a black fabric as on a white one.

UV DTF to customise your objects
Water bottles, mugs, notebooks or phone cases: in its UV version, the DTF transfer also works on rigid objects. Your full-colour design, with a slight relief, resists water and rubbing.

DTF printing prices: what affects the cost
With DTF, the number of colours does not change the price. These are the factors that count:
| Factor | Effect on price |
|---|---|
| Design size | The main factor: the larger the transfer, the more film and ink it takes. |
| Number of positions | Each position (chest, back, sleeve…) is priced separately. |
| Quantity | No screen costs: DTF is worthwhile from the first item, and the price drops slightly with quantity. |
| Chosen item | The price of the garment or bag is added, depending on the model and brand. |
Tip: for a large run with a simple design (1 to 3 colours), screen printing or screen printed transfers are often cheaper. We will recommend the best option.
Recommended DTF transfer sizes and positions

DTF printing on dark fabrics and polyester
This is DTF's great strength: it keeps colours vivid on a black t-shirt, a navy hoodie or a polyester jacket. Where direct digital printing needs a light cotton fabric, a DTF transfer works almost everywhere.
It is also suited to awkward positions: sleeves, pockets, bags, caps.
Which file to send for a DTF transfer?
A high-resolution PNG with a transparent background (ideally 300 dpi at print size), or a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF). The transparent background matters: everything visible in the file will be printed. We prepare your design if needed.
Everything about DTF printing
What is DTF printing?
DTF printing is a transfer technique: the design is printed on a special film, coated with an adhesive powder, then applied to the fabric with a heat press. It can print every colour, including photos, on almost any fabric.
What does DTF stand for?
DTF stands for "Direct to Film": the design is printed on a film before being transferred onto the garment.
How much does DTF printing cost?
The price mainly depends on the design size, the number of positions and the chosen item. The number of colours makes no difference. Ask us for a quote: it is tailored to your project.
Can you do a DTF transfer on a single item?
Yes. With no screens to prepare, DTF is worthwhile from a single item. It is an ideal solution for small runs and very colourful designs.
Can DTF transfers be applied to dark fabrics?
Yes. A DTF transfer has its own white layer: colours stay vivid on a black or dark fabric, with no extra preparation.
Which fabrics can DTF transfers be applied to?
Most fabrics: cotton, polyester, blends, canvas… They are suitable for t-shirts, hoodies, polo shirts, jackets, bags and workwear.
Are DTF transfers washable?
Yes, very much so. Wash the garment inside out at 30 or 40 °C, avoid the tumble dryer and never iron directly on the design.
Which file should I send for DTF printing?
A high-resolution PNG with a transparent background, or a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF). Everything visible in the file will be printed: remember to remove the background.
How long does a DTF order take?
Allow 5 to 10 working days after approval of your proof, depending on the quantity. If you need your items by a specific date, please mention it in your quote request.
What is the difference between DTF transfers and screen printed transfers?
DTF transfers are printed digitally: no colour limits, ideal for photos and small runs. Screen printed transfers are printed with screens: they are better suited to simple designs with a few colours and to large runs.
